Welcome to the Cuyahoga Falls Class of 1967 website where you can obtain information on Classmates and future Class' activites.
Remember, in 2012, Cuyahoga Falls will be 200 years old and the Class of 1967 will hold its 45th reunion. To be continued ....
Well, the 40th reunion is now complete and we can report that there are strong signs that the spirit of the Class of 1967 is alive, well and growing. We had great weather (a little warm for October), we watched the Indians take game 2 from the Yankees on Friday and then Ohio State win on Saturday as USC went down to Stanford. The Falls Marching Band’s performance on Saturday which included a song dedicated to Class of 1967 provided a special bonus for reunion participants.
We especially thank (in no particular order) Bob Minno, Bruce Perdue, Pat (Gale) Richwine, Cynthia (Miklos) Chapman, Phyllis Prinzo, Gary Thomas and Carl Zimmerman for volunteering to help keep the spirit bright.
Here are some things we hope to do to make the 45th reunion an even better event.
With Bruce Perdue’s help, we hope to build a better website that will give us more functionality and include a Classmates address book, picture posting and other features so we have fewer excuses to not stay in touch. The current website (http://www.falls67.com ) will remain in place until it is replaced with a new and better site.
We are going to use the contact information we assembled at the 40th reunion to update a very old address list. We sent out close to 700 postcards about the 40th reunion using the old address list but we received lots of reports from people who said that they did not get any stinking postcard. We knew the old list had problems. As a result, we used the Internet to establish a website and distribute information hoping these other communication tools would help to spread the word. Anyway, we know we need to get to work on improving the list.
We are going to be asking each Classmate for whom we have current contact information to help us assemble reliable contact information for other Classmates. If you have contact information (name now, name then, home phone, cell phone, snail mail address, e-mail address) for Classmates please send it along by e-mail if possible.
After a little rest, we will begin thinking and planning for the 45th reunion which will take place in 2012 when Cuyahoga Falls will celebrate its 200th birthday. Stay tuned, there could be a ride on the Class of 1967’s Cuyahoga Falls bicentennial parade float in your future!
